Back in 1983, Mr. Foong Choon Sang started Fatt Choi Sdn Bhd in Tenom, Sabah, as a small beverage distributor. Over time, his love for coffee grew, and he drew inspiration from Tenom’s rich agricultural heritage and ideal coffee-growing conditions to create a brand deeply rooted in Sabah’s identity. By 1986, Fatt Choi Coffee was born.

Our first product, the local favorite ‘KOPI-O,’ quickly became a staple in homes and shops across Sabah. In 1997, we branched out with instant coffee blends. From there, we continued adding to our range, with everything from Tenom White Coffee to sugar-free “KOPI-O,” making sure there was a cup for every taste.

A few years later, we expanded with the Coffee Cabin, a hilltop retreat in Tenom, and TFC Coffee, a café for locals and visitors. In 2019, we launched the “Coffee Experience Tour,” offering a firsthand look at the art of coffee-making.

Today, Fatt Choi Coffee is still proudly local, staying true to the simple values and community roots that started it all, while sharing our passion for coffee with everyone who walks through our doors.
